Printing
A printed sheet shows the title, the task, the program and the result – without buttons, tabs and sliders. You print with the browser: Ctrl + P (Cmd + P on a Mac) or “Print” in the browser’s menu. Choose “Save as PDF” to get a file instead of paper.
What is on the sheet
- The title and the task, if the program brings them as a docstring (Preparing programs).
- Only the visible part of the program: a folded preparation and the tabs of the starting positions do not appear on paper.
- The result: the console, the turtle’s drawing or Kara’s world. Kara’s world goes on paper with a white meadow and a black grid, so you can write into it with a pencil.
- At the bottom of the sheet are the title and the address of the page, so you can find your way from the paper back to the program.
Tips
- Run first, then print: the console and the drawing go on the sheet as they are on screen.
- For worksheets, a shared link with a title and a task is worth it: whoever opens it and prints gets the same sheet.
- Tick “Background graphics” in the browser if the images of games should be printed too.
